C it. Say it. Supported.
Hi Guys!
How are you doing! I’m Christine, a.k.a. your next VP of Community and Welfare! 👋
I’m running for this role because every student deserves to feel supported, included and heard during their time at UWE.
My passion for wellbeing began when I pioneered the first set of Wellbeing Ambassadors during my A-levels, creating a peer-support initiative for student mental health, further completing mental health training to better support others. At university, I co-founded and served as Vice President for two years of a culturally inclusive dance society, bringing students from different backgrounds together through creativity and expression. I hope to bring that same spirit of creativity, happiness and belonging into the role of VP of Community and Welfare.
More than anything, I care. Student welfare has always been important to me and I believe your VP should listen to your concerns and work to improve your student experience. Having experienced mental and physical disabilities myself, I understand how overwhelming university life can feel sometimes. That’s why I’m committed to improving support, inclusion and community for all students.
If you want someone who listens, cares and takes action, vote Christine for VP of Community and Welfare.
