MOHAMMAD FAHIM BIN NASER

Stronger Students. Stronger Union.

My name is Mohammad Fahim Bin Naser, and I am an LLB student and an international student at UWE Bristol. Like many of you, I came here with ambitions, challenges, and hopes for a better future.

I understand what it feels like to navigate university life far from home, manage studies, build a career, and find a sense of community. That’s why I am running for Students’ Union President  to make sure every student feels supported, connected, and empowered.

My goal is simple: to make the Students’ Union more practical, inclusive, and beneficial for every student.

My Vision for UWE Students

1. Bridging the Gap Between Placement Students & Current Students

One of the biggest challenges students face is finding placements

I will create a Placement Mentorship Network where:

  • Students who have already completed placements can guide students preparing for placements.
  • Regular experience sharing sessions will be organised so students can learn directly from those who have done it.
  • Departments and employers can connect with students to increase opportunities.

This will help students feel more confident and prepared for their careers.

2. More Free Games & Social Spaces for Students

University life should not just be about studying , it should also be about having fun and building friendships.

Currently, many activities like billiards and other games require payment, which many students cannot always afford.

I will work to:

  • Introduce free game nights organised by the SU.
  • Provide free access hours for games like billiards and table tennis.
  • Organise weekly casual tournaments where everyone can participate, not just sports teams.

Because student life should be fun, inclusive, and accessible to everyone.

3. Stronger Support for International Students

As an international student myself, I understand the challenges many students face  from adapting to a new culture to managing academic pressure.

I will work to:

  • Strengthen international student support networks.
  • Organise cultural exchange events so students from different backgrounds can connect.
  • Improve guidance for students.

4. A More Active and Connected Student Union

The Students’ Union should be a place where students feel involved and represented.

I will:

  • Encourage more student participation in SU activities.
  • Create more networking and community building events.
  • Ensure that student voices are heard and acted upon.

Why Vote for Me?

Because I believe the SU should deliver real benefits, not just promises.

I will focus on:

  • Practical career support
  • Affordable and accessible student activities
  • Stronger community connections

Together, we can build a Students’ Union that truly works for every student.
