Transparent rules, stronger student voice
I am standing for Democratic Procedures Officer because I believe every UWE student deserves to feel heard, included, and respected.
Student democracy should never feel confusing, distant, or only for a small number of people. It should belong to all of us. Every student, no matter their background, course, or confidence level, should feel that their voice matters and that they have a real place in shaping student life.
If elected, I will work to make democratic processes clearer, fairer, and easier to understand. Too many students switch off because the system can feel complicated or out of reach. I want to help change that by making information simple, accessible, and student-friendly, so more people feel confident to get involved.
I also want to help build more trust in the way decisions are made. Students deserve transparency, honesty, and fairness. You should know how decisions affect you, how your voice is represented, and how you can take part in making change happen.
Most importantly, I want to encourage students who feel overlooked, unheard, or disconnected to take part. UWE is made up of so many different voices, experiences, and stories, and our democracy should reflect that. When more students are included, our union becomes stronger, fairer, and more meaningful for everyone.
I am running because I care about students feeling represented, not ignored. I want to help create a student democracy that feels open, welcoming, and built for everyone.
Vote for me to help make UWE democracy more open, fair, and welcoming for all.
