My goal is to ensure to the best of my ability that every student at UWE feels heard, supported, and feels a true sense of belonging and representation.

The President’s role is to represent students at the highest levels of the university and beyond. I will take that responsibility seriously by ensuring student voices are present in key decision-making spaces such as Academic Board, University Governors, and national student forums. Every meeting I attend will be guided by one simple principle: What is best for students?

Representation begins with listening. I will expand regular “Go Out And Talk” sessions across all campuses so students can share their concerns, ideas, and experiences directly. Whether you are an undergraduate, postgraduate, commuter, or international student, your voice deserves to be heard. I will ensure feedback leads to action, not just discussion.

Students should know what their Union is working on and what progress is being made. I will provide regular updates on SU initiatives and manifesto commitments so students can clearly see how their feedback is shaping change- Therefore holding transparency and accountability to what I claim to represent.

University life should be about more than lectures. I will work closely with Vice-Presidents, societies, and sports clubs to strengthen opportunities for involvement and create a more connected campus community; supporting student-led ideas and encouraging society/sports activities across the different campuses to help ensure everyone can find their place at UWE. 

By working closely with the Vice-Chancellor, university leadership, and community partners, I will advocate for improvements that matter most to students- identified through your own freedom of speech. Strong partnerships between the University and the Students’ Union are essential to creating meaningful change and improving the overall student experience.

I intend to be a visible, approachable and action-driven President who truly enjoins good and forbids evil- with both integrity and purpose- to the best of my ability.
