Desirable Candidate - This is Syed Jubayer, an LLB Law student and your Candidate for Vice president for Societies and Communication. I am an desirable candidate because I was engaged with number of societies from Sports (Muay Thai and Kickboxing) to National Societies (Bangladesh Society) as well as Academic Societies(Law Society). These engagement has experienced me into different role and needs for different societies and communication. I also develop my Leadership and Administrative experience being an Student Representative and Student Ambassador. 

Vision: 

• 1. Stronger Promotion for Societies
  I will work with the SU marketing team to create a central societies events calendar so students can easily see what is happening across campus. I will also introduce regular “Society Spotlight” features on SU social media to help societies promote their activities and reach more students.

  2. Clear and Accessible Communication
  I will improve communication by ensuring societies receive regular updates from the SU about opportunities, funding, and events. I will also promote clearer communication channels so society committees can quickly access the information and support they need.

  3. Better Support for Society Committees
  I will work with the SU to provide practical guidance and training for committee members, helping them organise events, manage their societies effectively, and access available resources.

  4. Encouraging Collaboration Between Societies
  I will support joint events and collaborations between societies to help students connect across different communities. Collaborative events can strengthen campus culture and create more exciting opportunities for students to get involved.

  5. Promoting Sustainable and Inclusive Society Activities
  I will encourage societies to organise more sustainable events and initiatives, such as reducing waste at events and promoting environmentally responsible practices. I will also support societies in creating inclusive spaces where all students feel welcome to participate.
