Candidate for the position of (ByElection) NUS Womens Conference Delegate - Self Defining Women & BME/LGBT+
For a brighter tomorrow, I will take action today!
I currently hold the poison of Gloucester campus officer for the SU, alongside this I am the newly elected Royal College of Nursing student member of council. Therefore, I have the privilege of representing students from all branch of nursing nationwide. I am currently entering my final year of nurse training at UWE, and as student nurse it is my duty to advocate for all patients in my care, always insuring that their voices and concerns are recognised. This would be no different if I were to represent YOU at the NUS Conference.
I have already been working closely with SU in an active role to help the development of policies that will be submitted to NUS UK Conference. I aim to communicate and liaise with all UWE students to enable best advocacy of your views and represent these nationally.
I work for the university as a Student Ambassador and a PAL intern, a role supporting students both pastorally and academically. Additionally, I am the founder and President of the Adult Nursing Society, now successfully moving into its second year, giving students’ academic, social opportunities and experiences beyond the classroom. Away from university; I volunteer for Insight Gloucestershire as a befriender. I also thoroughly enjoy taking part in community theatre, including educational shows. Alongside my degree, I work as a health care assistant, where I have gained a wide range of experiences.
I feel immensely proud to be a student nurse, it gives me the opportunity and the privilege to be able to professionally care for people all around the world. I want to listen, represent and demonstrate the power of our voices, insuring that we are heard. My diverse range of experiences and skills will enable me to both lead and be an advocate for all students.
Let’s take action and get results together!
