Union 2, Frenchay Campus
This second Speak For Yourself event will celebrate LGBT+ History Month at UWE, with a variety showcase of Bristol-based poets with some of the city's finest writers: Kat Lyons, Taran Spalding-Jenkin, Tom Denbigh and Holly Moberley.
Head to The SU Bar, Union 2, Frenchay Campus, for a soul-stirring smörgåsbord of spoken word and join in with the open mic.
We can't wait for this event, which will:
1. Showcase incredible spoken word talent by Bristol-based writers who identify as LGBT+.
2. Offer a supportive open mic for students to share their own spoken word.
3. Encourage and develop discussions in the half-time and post-show sections, inspired by topics covered in the event’s performances.
4. Promote the wider LGBT+ History Month.
The event will be hosted by LGBT+ Officer, Viljo Wilding, and VP Community & Welfare, Rania Regaieg.
Free entry for all students and staff.
