GET ACTIVE – CREATIVE TRAIL
ABOUT
A planned route from A Block (Bower Ashton) around to Ashton Court and back to the campus. If you only have a short time, spend 15 minutes travelling to and completing the first writing prompt (see points 1 & 2 below). The full route takes around 80 mins, depending on walk speed and how long you choose to take on each creative prompt. The entire Creative Trail is wheelchair accessible and incorporates elements of creative writing and photography. Bring you camera and writing pad or your smartphone will do just fine too!
For a map of the full route, scroll down to the bottom of this page.
Tag @CityCampusUWE on Instagram with your photos/writing; we'd love to share what you come up with!

CREATIVE TRAIL GLOSSARY
*Freewrite: writing down all your thoughts without stopping, in a continual flow, allowing yourself to write whatever comes to mind (in this case, about ideas generated from your two-word title). Don’t worry about spelling, grammar or any of the usual writing rules – just let yourself lock in with what your title brings up.
**Acrostic: starting each line of a poem with a capital letter that spells out the theme of the poem when read vertically.
***Ode: a lyric poem, typically addressing a particular subject, written in varied or irregular metre and no particular focus on rhyme. Usually, odes are complimentary to their subject(s).
