Background info:

Fed up with paying extortionate rents and being exploited by landlords? Bristol Student Housing Co-op is a group of UWE and UoB students trying to tackle this by creating ethical, affordable and democratic housing for students in Bristol. Housing co-ops are a tried and tested method of housing where all members have an equal say over how the house runs, can set their own rents, and live without a landlord. Come along to the Upper Engagement Space to find out more about the housing co-op and get involved in building a world without landlords!

What to expect:

The first hour will be a social (with free snacks!) where you can meet like-minded students and hear about what a housing co-op is in a relaxed environment. Everyone is welcome to come, even if you have no prior knowledge of housing co-ops! The second hour will be more of a general meeting where you can find out more about the specifics of what BSHC are up to.
