WHAT TO EXPECT:
The NHS Blood drive team will be on campus and would love for you to drop by! They will be coming along to all campus sites to spread awareness about the call for more Black blood donors. Increasing the number of people of Black heritage who donate blood is an urgent priority for NHS Blood and Transplant as there is an urgent need for people with the rarer Ro blood type, Ro is a rare blood group that is more common in black communities.The NHS Blood and Transplant team will be coming to to site to register new donors talk them through what its like to donate and do some myth busting. They will be running a 'what's your blood type event' where if people sign up to become a blood donor.
If you want to sign up to be a blood donor - they can help with that too!

Walk: Bower Ashton campus is a 30 min walk from the city centre. You can use the address City campus at Bower Ashton, Kennel Lodge Road, Bristol, BS3 2 JT in google maps to plan your route.

Or the M2 which has stops opposite Temple Meads, MarketGate/Phoenix Court accommodation and the centre. 15 min walk to campus from Cumberland Basin stop.
Drive: Parking is very limited and for permit holders only. Please ensure you have either an annual permit OR a pay daily permit on display in your windscreen, and only park within marked bays.
