WHAT TO EXPECT:
The NHS Blood drive team will be on campus and would love for you to drop by!
This October NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) will be providing the opportunity for staff and students to find out their likely blood type. A single donation can save up to 3 lives, providing a lifesaving impact for people across the UK.
Today, around 19,000 people in the UK are living with sickle cell and many rely on regular blood transfusions. People of Black heritage are 10 times more likely to have the Ro blood subtype needed to provide a close match.
If you’re the giving type, come along this October and find out how you could help save lives.
