Are you passionate about helping the environment? If so, this event is for you!
Raise awareness of the issues of waste and take part in this litter-picking fundraiser - not only will you be helping clean up your local environment, you will be supporting charity.
Student of Environmental Management and Miss Wales 2025 finalist, Leiah Ritchie, is collaborating with the Sustainability Committee on a litter pick fundraiser in alignment with her studies.
This event is to raise funds for the Miss World charity 'Beauty With A Purpose' which helps children worldwide, as well as the not-for-profit organisation 'A-Sisterhood' which seeks to empower, support and protect women worldwide.
The route will begin and end at Arnolfini café where a social will be held; along the way, we'll litter pick in local green spaces such as Queen Square and College Green.
Litter-picking equipment will be provided, but please feel free to bring along your own if you have it.
Make sure you wear practical clothes and footwear (sturdy closed-toe shoes), and check the weather beforehand so you can dress accordingly and be as comfortable as possible.
