Wed 07 May 2025 17:00-19:00
2D007, D Block, UWE Frenchay campus (Around the corner from Frenchay Library)
WHEN:
Wednesday 7th May 5-7pm
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Join for our documentary screening of “One Last Farm”, presented by the director and UWE alumni, Nikki Dodd, about a nature-friendly farm in Bristol.
Yew Tree Farm means everything to third-generation farmer Catherine Withers. It is her home, her livelihood, and her community. Besides producing locally grown, organic food, the farm’s grasslands and ancient hedgerows serve as a habitat for diverse wildlife. However, this ecological treasure faces pressure from a growing urban population and a cemetery expansion.
Catherine’s nature-friendly practices protect the wildlife on her farm, but what will it take to protect the farm itself?
One Last Farm follows Catherine's journey over the course of a year as she fights to protect her nature-friendly farm from development.
