You cannot understand the climate crisis separately from the centuries of colonisation and exploitation which shaped our global economy. This is why more and more people from across the world are calling for climate justice: a movement to bring about a fairer and greener world, acknowledging the disparity between who caused climate change and who bears the brunt of it.
Delivered by one of our Representation team, this session will cover the intertwined histories of colonialism and carbon extraction, and will give you some practical tools of what you can do about it as a student at UWE.
