Upper Engagement Space, The Students' Union on Frenchay Campus
This is a cozy and chilled event, where you can meet fellow UWE Students, and make your own stuffed monkey friend, from a recycled pair of socks!
We’re providing the tools, the template, and the stuffing, so all you will need to bring for this session is an old pair of socks. This is a fun and creative session, where you’ll have the opportunity to get crafty, and socialise with new friends! You’ll be looked after by staff from the Representation Team and a student Welcome Rep, so this is also a fantastic opportunity to ask any questions you might have about your Students’ Union. This is a drop-in session, so it’s okay if you can’t stay for the full 2 hours of the event. We predict your monkey will take about an hour to create.
Where to find us:
The Upper Engagement Space, The Students’ Union on Frenchay Campus
The Upper Engagement Space is our large open-plan office and activity area, you can find it by entering the Students’ Union Building and coming upstairs: either by the large staircase in our Reception area, or by walking past the Reception Desk to the left, past the Advice centre, and using the lift. When you exit the lift, turn right and come through the double doors.
The Student’s Union has two buildings on Frenchay Campus, they’re directly next to each other. The taller of the buildings is Union 1, where we will be running the session. There’s a large red triangular logo on the building. For more information on getting to the session, you can check out the section on travel information below.
You don’t need to sign up, just show up on the day! If you have an old pair of socks you’d like to use, please bring these along, we’d recommend using a pair that are fun and colourful! We’re bringing some recycled socks too, so you can still attend if you forget your own.
