Sat 17 October 2026 11:15-16:00
The Student Life Team will leave the Frenchay Campus at 11.30 - please meet them at the bus stops by 11.15. Alternatively you can meet the team at the venue at 12.15 (Address: Zoo Project, Blackhorse Hill, Bristol BS10 7TP).
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Enjoy an outdoors trip and discover the wildlife at this incredible space.
See the Eurasian brown bears alongside wolves in Bear Wood, go wild and explore 50 acres of beautiful nature, from woodlands and gardens to the tranquil Tower Meadow - perfect for a picnic. There are giraffes, lemurs, meerkats, river hogs, deer, wolves, bears, zebras, cheetahs and birds.
The gorillas have now been moved from their old Bristol Zoo location to their new home in the African Forest habitat at Wild Place. They have settled into their new environment and you can observe them enjoying their new habitat.
This event is for our current students only.
There are food outlets at the location, but you may want to bring snacks or lunch to eat.
Conservation
The Bristol Zoo Project saves wildlife through conservation science research, working to protect species and habitats overseas, encouraging sustainable behaviours and perceptions, educating tomorrow’s wildlife warriors and connecting people with nature through a great day out.
