Learn the Basics of DJing with DJ Elley Phunk
Ever wanted to try DJing? Join us for a two-hour introductory workshop and discover the fundamentals of digital DJing with experienced Bristol DJ Elley Phunk.
In this hands-on session, you'll learn the basics of beat matching using our digital DJ decks and controllers, and you'll even have the opportunity to mix your own music from a USB device.
No previous experience is required, making this the perfect opportunity to explore DJing in a friendly and supportive environment.
About Elley Phunk
With over 30 years of DJ experience, Elley Phunk has been performing since 1995 and has built a reputation across the South West as a skilled house and breakbeat DJ. Originally a vinyl DJ, she developed a distinctive mixing style and later joined Bristol-based all-female hip-hop collective Dutty Girl, supporting renowned DJ Jazzy Jeff.
Alongside her residency at The Plough Inn, Bristol, Elley regularly delivers DJ workshops for young people and recently completed an MA dissertation exploring the benefits of DJing for mental health, community building, and self-empowerment.
