Bower Ashton Theatre 0A18
As part of Black History Month, The Students’ Union at UWE has great pleasure in welcoming Breathing Fire, an all women black playback theatre company, to Bower Campus. Playback theatre is a unique form of interactive theatre enabling audiences to tell their stories. People from the audience are invited to share moments about their lives. They then see them brought to life as the company immediately recreates the essence of their story using voice, movement, dance and song.
There will be a FREE workshop and performance on Tuesday 4th October in the Theatre (0A18). The workshop will start at 6pm and finish at 6.50 pm and the theme will be,' Perceptions of Africa/Exploring Black History Month' focusing on what images, words come to mind when we talk/discuss Black History Month.
This will be followed by a performance will start 7.15pm and finish at 8.15pm.
Please come along. This event is open to all students and is a great opportunity to see this unique Bristol Theatre Company who inspire audiences through the creation of spontaneous, improvised performances.
