East African Playgrounds aims to enhance the lives of children across Uganda by developing children’s learning opportunities, creativity and environments through building playgrounds and running arts and play sessions. You can be part of this difference by volunteering in Uganda for 4 weeks to build a playground with a team from UWE.
The Uganda Volunteer Project is a truly unique, once in a lifetime adventure that will give you the chance to experience the culture, landscape and wildlife of Uganda whilst also helping us to make a huge difference in the lives of thousands of young children and disadvantaged adults.
You will have an amazing experience living within the community, working alongside our Ugandan Playground building team transforming an empty playing field into a fun, safe and exciting playground for children to enjoy for generations to come. You'll also get to work alongside our Ugandan play team working with the teachers and children to help introduce play within their classes and teaching.
Just follow the steps below to learn more and more importantly, to submit an application and set yourself up for the summer of a lifetime!
