Reclaiming Narratives
Diversity Week
Diversity Week is dedicated to celebrating the many identities, cultures, and communities that make up our campus. This is your chance to experience the best of what our student body has to offer, from cultural displays to live performances, all while meeting new people and learning more about the stories that make our community so unique.
Holocaust Memorial Day
The Holocaust threatened the fabric of civilisation, and genocide must still be resisted every day. Our world often feels fragile and vulnerable and we cannot be complacent. Even in the UK, prejudice and the language of hatred must be challenged by us all.
LGBT+ History Month
LGBT+ History Month is a month-long campaign that runs every year in February and every year, The Students’ Union and UWE Bristol run a packed programme of activities which link to the year-specific theme.
Trans Awareness Week
Each year in the week before Transgender Day of Remembrance on 20 November, people around the country celebrate Transgender Awareness Week to help raise the visibility about transgender people and address issues members of the community face.
UK Disability History Month
Disability History Month aims to celebrate the past and present achievements and promote the importance of equal rights for differently abled people in the UK.
