Duties
This is a fantastic opportunity for two current UWE Bristol students to get real-world, hands-on experience of organising an academic conference.
The SSOS Student Conference provides an opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate SSOS students to present their research projects, dissertations, group work, and any other relevant work undertaken during their degree. You will liaise with the SSOS Student Conference Organising Committee to ensure the event is run smoothly.
Your duties will include:
Skills and Experience
This internship is open only to UWE Bristol undergraduate or postgraduate students enrolled onto a programme in the School of Social Science. This includes students who are enrolled on the following single or joint honours programmes: Criminology, Philosophy, Policing, Politics and International Relations, Psychology or Sociology.
You will have good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. You will be able to self-motivate and take initiative, especially in new subject areas.
Finally, you have high attention to detail and writing, editing and proofreading skills.
