The Students' Union at UWE are looking for UWE students to work our ‘Late Night, Do It Right’ events as part of the Welcome programme in September/ October 2026!
‘Late Night, Do It Right’ aims to promote a safe and positive experience for UWE Bristol students taking part in the night time events programme on campus and in Bristol city centre.
‘Late Night, Do It Right’ Reps offer friendly support and advice and freebies (water, food, key info), across on campus and city centre accomodation pre-night out to support students in going on to have a safe and informed night time experience.
The Late Night Do It Right Intern will work on Late Night initiatives, safe drinking campaigns, organising interventions around pre-night time accomadation support and reviewing the impacts of the Late Night Do It Right Programme alongside supervising the Late Night Do It Right Reps during their night time accomadation shifts.
If you study here at UWE and would like to support to new and returning students back to university by supporting safe night-time activity - we could have the position for you!
Late Night Do It Right Reps (10 Positions)
Late Night Do It Right (LNDIR) Rep shifts are late evening shifts, usually be from 3.00pm-9.00pm in halls of residence in the city centre of Bristol. (subject to change)
Shifts will be available on 4 key dates in September 2026.
We are looking for students who actively want to work and want to contribute to a successful Welcome programme, so if you would like to be a LNDIR Rep ideally you can work evenings and weekends in September.
**Please note that Rep positions are bank casual student staff positions. This means that shifts will be offered to you, and you can offer to pick up shifts dependant on your individual availability, so work can fit around your study and personal commitments!
When early hour shifts are worked within the city centre (past midnight), a taxi will be paid for return to your accommodation.

We are looking for students with a can-do attitude who are willing to take on a variety of tasks to make the 2026 Late Night Do It Right Programme a success.
Start Date: 9th September 2026
Rate of Pay: £13.44 per hour
*Please note this hourly rate will be inflated to include holiday pay
If your application is successful, you will be invited to attend an in-person group interview on one of the following dates:
Thursday 23rd April 2026 at 10:30am – 12:30pm
Wednesday 29th April 2026 at 1:30pm – 3:30pm
Thursday 30th April 2026 at 1:30pm – 3:30pm
Please ONLY apply if you are available to attend at least one of these interview dates and times (if invited), no alternative dates/ times to interview will be offered.
You can apply to be BOTH a Late Night Do It Right Rep and a Welcome Rep, or for just one of the positions.
We will conduct Group Interviews for both positions combined, so you can also change your mind and offer to work, or decide not work either position following the Group Interview (if you are invited to attend).
Late Night Do It Right Intern (1 Position)
We are looking for a Late Night Do It Right Intern to Support the safe delivery of our night time Late Night Do It Right Programme.
As an intern you will be responsible for supporting and supervising late night do it right reps, organising interventions around pre-night time accomodation support and supporting a responsible drinking culture and gathering the data for impact and evaluation monitoring during the length of the campaign.
Experience/Skills:
Late Night Do It Right Intern shifts will be a combination of daytime shifts for administration and ‘late night’ shifts (usually 6.00pm-10.00pm) for an average of 20 hours per week for up to an 8-week period.
Hours per week: Up to 20- hours per week, including evenings, late nights, and weekends
Start Date: 21st August 2026 (TBC)
Rate of Pay: £13.98 per hour

We will be holding 2 training sessions for successful Reps; it will be mandatory to attend one of the following sessions, please ensure you are available to attend at least one of the following dates ahead of applying:

To apply for any of our Welcome roles you must be available to work from the 9th September 2026 (in-person, in Bristol), through to early October. These are temporary casual positions, and they will end in Mid-October 2026.

Interview Information:
Welcome Rep & Late Night Do It Right candidates will be invited to attend a Group Interview (if successful).
Late Night Do It Right Intern applicants will be invited for individual interviews (if successful).
Following interviews, all successful candidates will be offered positions and will be asked to complete onboarding prior to September.
Welcome / Late Night Do It Right Reps will have inductions from 2nd September 2026, these will be facilitated virtually, shifts will likely be available from the start of September 2026.
You must be in-Bristol and available to work from the 9th of September 2026 to be a LNDIR Rep and from 21st August 2026 to be our LNDIR Intern.
