Duties
What does a Student Ambassador do?
As an Ambassador, you would primarily support student recruitment and outreach activities, as well as getting involved with wider university events including:
Student Ambassadors are current UWE students who are employed as casual workers to represent the University.
Student Ambassadors act as positive role models to give a first-hand view of the benefits of higher education and to represent UWE Bristol at a variety of different events and locations (on campus, virtual platforms and in schools/colleges/community settings) in support of UWE’s marketing and recruitment & outreach strategies.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for students who are enthusiastic about representing their course and University. The role involves a high level of customer service – no prior work experience is necessary, but you must be keen to work in a customer facing environment.
You must be committed to the shifts you accept and a reliable worker.
Hours
Work undertaken by Student Ambassadors is flexible and fits around your studies.
Student Ambassadors are casual workers, and Student Ambassadors are not guaranteed a set number of hours.
The Student Ambassador Scheme is under no obligation to offer work, and you are not required to accept any work offered. However, we do expect ambassadors to respond to invitations to work at our on campus recruitment events, such as Open Days and Offer Holder Days.
Hourly Rate
£12.60 per hour plus 12.07% holiday pay
