Here's what our committee members have to say...
Momna, our participation & equality officer, discusses how the phyisician associate (PA) course entails rigorous training to become a healthcare professional who works alongside physicians, providing patient care under senior supervision. It involves learning medical principles, clinical skills, and developing a strong foundation in healthcare practices. Rachel, our social media officer, agrees, adding that we learn to work collaboratively alongside doctors and the rest of the medical disciplinary team, ensuring us PA students are well-prepared to effectively contribute to patient care, diagnostics and treatments.
What the course means to Rachel is that as students, we all embark on a journey to become PAs which is tough and challengeing but it's these trials that shape you into becoming the capable healthcare professional the public needs. For Momna, this course teaches how to care for peoples' health, work closely with doctors and play a hands-on role in improving patients' wellbeing, turning her passion for helping others into practical skills that will make a difference.
From Juliet, PA society president:
To our entire PA cohort & members, welcome to the PA society. I'm proud to be a part of the PA student cohort and the journey we are all on. We all have a passion for patient healtcare at the end of the day and that's what keeps us going through the intense but rewarding PA course.
