WELCOME TO UWE DRAMA SOCIETY

Making moves in and around Bristol since pre 2000!

Who can come to drama soc? 

• Those with no experience 
• Those with loads of experience 
• People who are interested in theatre and performance, whether that be performing, backstage work, management, teaching or admin 

What does drama soc do? 

• We host workshops every week of various types (Tuesdays - 6-8) 
• Acting, stage management, directing, writing and backstage workshops 
• Speakers coming in to talk on a variety of subjects 
• Industry professionals coming in 
• Chilled out games sessions 
• A 'Pissed Panto' - where a select few actors get drunk before going on stage to perform a traditional Christmas pantomime 
• A musical (title to be announced) - with big cast and crew opportunities 
• A show that we take to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival each year (to be announced) 
• Other shows and opportunities that will be announced soon! 
• Socials that have previously included pizza nights, cocktail bars, club nights and movie nights!

• Every Tuesday 
• 6 pm - 8 pm 
• Arnolfini (city campus) - 16 Narrow Quay, Bristol BS1 4QA

Other FAQ's 

Where does my membership money go? All membership money goes directly into the shows that drama societies produce, and our only other sources of income are fundraising and ticket sales. 

How many roles are there available per show? This year for the panto we had 22 members of cast and crew, and in the musical we had 27, so we always have a lot!
