Welcome to UWE Islamic Society (ISoc),

UWE ISoc is a student-led Muslim community at the University of the West of England. We are at the service of the Muslim community in and around UWE, providing the means for the 5 daily prayers, Jumu’ah, Tarawih, weekly study circles as well as other educational and social activities. We are also dedicated to increasing awareness of the Islam.

UWE ISoc proactively seeks to enhance its members spiritually, mentally and academically, through events such as the Fresher’s week, Islamic awareness week, charity week, Ramadhan, Eid celebrations as well as other social events.

Inshallah, we will continue to strive to be at the service of Islam and Muslims in UWE, addressing Islamic contemporary issues and celebrating the richness of the Islamic way of life with Muslims and non-Muslim colleagues alike.

Important Information:

Prayer rooms are available 24/7(swipe access) at 3E037 and 3E043 (Brothers) & 3E041, 3E042 and 3E044A (Sisters) with dedicated Wudu facilities nearby.

Jumu’ah is held every Friday at 13:15 at the Frenchay campus Centre for Sports (CFS) Sports Hall 1 (Brothers) and Sports Hall 2 (Sisters).
