UWE Neurodiversity Society
Here at the Neurodiversity Society, we are an inclusive place for those who are considered neurodivergent. That means anyone who has Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, and Dyscalculia, or any other lifelong neurological differences. It is a place where neurodivergent people can connect and feel understood. We are different, yet unique, with diverse strengths and difficulties.
An aspect that makes this society more unique is that we are not shaped solely by our committee, but by the members who support the society. It is a construct that carries on developing through innovative ideas and challenges to be solved. A place where members can support each other and socialize about the most bizarre topics, as we do.
We plan to have socials which is a fantastic opportunity to meet a diverse range of people. We also plan to have guest speakers in the future to talk about neurodiversity. There will also be opportunities to raise awareness and fundraise for different neurological differences. If you have ideas and or want to help with these, Get in touch.
One of our wonderous reoccuring events is our Special Interest Saturday which is hosted at Frenchay Campus monthly. This event is for those who have an intrest that they want to share. Anyone can turn up and bring and give a presentation (of any kind) about something they're interested in. Or once can just turn up to learn about other people's interests. It's up to you!
