The PAIR society is a welcoming, student-led space for anyone interested in Politics or International Relations at UWE. You do not have to study Politics and International Relations to join, and we are not a one-party society; we are open to all political views and encourage respectful discussion from across the political spectrum.
Our aim is to create a friendly, engaging space where members can explore current political and global issues through discussions, debates and panels, while also building valuable skills such as public speaking, debating and policy writing. We hope to invite guest speakers from academia, local and national politics and NGOs, and to organise trips to political institutions in the UK and beyond.
Alongside this, we plan to run regular social events, including pub and café socials, quiz nights, cinema trips and joint events with other societies. There will also be plenty of opportunities to get involved in shaping the society, from helping with events and fundraising to media publicity.
Membership costs £5 for the year. If you are curious, opinionated or just want to learn more about the world around you, PAIR is for you!
