LGBT+ hISTORY month 2021

This LGBT+ History Month The Students' Union, UWE Bristol, and the LGBT+ Society are running a packed programme of virtual activities, which will link into this year's national theme is Mind, Body, and Soul. LGBT+ History Month is a great opportunity to demonstrate Allyship, celebrate the advancements, and actively engage in making our university more inclusive for all.

Some of the areas we will cover this year include intersectionality, with a focus on Black Trans Lives Matter, allyship, the importance of pronouns, LGBT+ activities who are BAME, disabled, and working class.

Events are free to attend and are open to all students and staff.

LGBT+ History Month Launch: "Mind, Body and Soul"

To launch the beginning of LGBT+ History Month join us for an engaging panel on the national theme “Mind, Body and Soul” and what this means for the LGBT+ community today.

3rd February 6pm - 7:30pm
Join the LGBT+ Society for the LGBT history quiz. The event will be posted on Facebook @UWELGBT, held on a society Discord server. All are welcome. £1 charity donation to enter. There will be a £15 UberEats voucher for the winner.

An LGBT+ Classic, Pride (2014) is a British historical comedy-drama. Based on a true story, the film depicts a group of lesbian and gay activists who raised money to help families affected by the British miners' strike in 1984
