    What am I working on?

    1. Address the quality and consistency of academic feedback

    • Advocate for consistent feedback across schools, and support initiatives to improve both feedback literacy and the quality of feedback.
    • Work with the Student Consultant Panel and gather feedback data from students. Represent these student perspectives at high-level meetings, and in the Feedback Working Group

    2. Make Timetabling and Exam Scheduling more accessible for students

    • Identify key issues, challenges, and recurring themes from student feedback and survey data, focusing on accessibility and fairness.
    • Co-develop solutions with student input, in a working group with UWE staff. Use a data-driven approach, with priorities shaped by data findings and insights.

    3. Support student employability and future pathways

    • Raise awareness of employability tools, resources and Careers Team opportunities.
    • Work with other Presidents on a February employability event, with employers holding stalls, workshops translating Student Rep skills into employability, a Visa session, and information on Green and Ethical Careers.

    4. Strengthen the Student Voice across UWE

    • Evaluate the Student Representation structure: assess strengths, challenges, and ensure accessibility for all through our Reward and Recognition practices.
    • Research new avenues for delivering student feedback to Lead School Reps and VP Education. Develop more consistent and structured Student Rep Committees and Conferences.

    5. Build community and strengthen collaboration with Student Leaders

    • Use Student Representatives and Leaders to foster community, and improve how we gather and share feedback.
    • Work during Diversity Week to link Academic Society committees with their programme’s Student Representatives.
    • Work with Presidents’ Team and Part Time Officers to support International Students Forum, enhance support for late arrivals and assessment offences.
