What am I working on? 

1. Strengthen Societies and Improve Communication

• Develop the skills of Leaders on Society Committees, through workshops and guest speakers at Societies Conferences.
• Celebrate engagement and achievement through ‘Top of the Socs’, a monthly recognition opportunity on SU social media channels.
• Develop a centralised Societies events platform, where members can keep up to date.

2. Representation

• Working across Frenchay, Glenside, and Bower Ashton to ensure all student groups are equally represented.
• Linking Academic Societies with the UWE Careers department to promote cross-campus career opportunities.
• Encouraging and supporting students to set up and run new societies across all three campuses.

3. Promote Wellbeing through Sober Socials

• Encourage and incentivise societies to run non-alcoholic socials and collaborative events.
• Organise Harm Reduction education for Committee members, utilising conferences and meetings.
