The Students’ Union is run by students, for students. We’re here to champion your academic interests, amplify your voice and help you to get the best out of student life.
We’ll encourage you to participate in the things you love, try new hobbies, make new friends, advocate for your peers, and support the causes that matter to you. Stay tuned to our website and social media channels for plenty of events and activities to get involved in.
- 150+ Sports & Societies: From Archery to Volleyball, and societies including academic, faith, and special interest groups. If it doesn't exist, we’ll help you start it.
- Make an Impact: Run for election, become one of our 1,000 Student Reps, or become a member of Student Council, you can spark real change to students on your course or campus.
- Campaign for Change: Join the Green Team, the Sustainability Committee, or lead campaigns for causes that matter to you.
Food, Shops & Spaces
- Shops & Cafés: Located on campus for meal deals, hot food to go, daily essentials, and snacks. Bower Ashton offers homemade food with plenty of vegan options, while Frenchay's shop has everything you need from essentials to meal deals and our Union 2 bar offers drinks, hot meals (to eat in or take away) and a garden to enjoy them.
- Social Hubs: The Students' Union is your space. Visit us to book event spaces, borrow games, or attend events like Quiz Nights and Open Mics at Union 2.
Support & Opportunities
- Advice Centre: Free, confidential, and independent support for housing and academic issues.
- JobShop: Access flexible, student-friendly part-time jobs on and off campus to boost your CV.
- Childcare: Halley Nursery at Frenchay Campus provides dedicated care for student and staff families.
