The Students' Union at UWE are looking for a UWE Bristol student who is interested in drugs and alcohol harm reduction interventions and the nighttime economy to be our 2024 Late Night Do It Right Intern!
‘Late Night, Do It Right’ (LNDIR) aims to promote a safe and positive experience for UWE Bristol students taking part in the night time events programme on campus and in Bristol city centre.
‘Late Night, Do It Right’ Reps offer friendly support and advice and freebies (water, food, charge phones) on nights out.
The Late Night Do It Right Intern will work on Late Night initiatives, safe drinking campaigns and reviewing the impacts of the Late Night Do It Right Programme alongside supervising the Late Night Do It Right Reps during their night-time shifts.

Late Night Do It Right Intern (1 Position)
We are looking for a Late Night Do It Right Intern to Support the safe delivery of our night time Late Night Do It Right Programme.

As an intern you will be responsible for supporting and supervising late night do it right reps, organising interventions around night time club events and supporting a responsible drinking culture and gathering the data for impact and evaluation monitoring during the length of the campaign.

Late Night Do It Right Intern shifts will be a combination of daytime office based shifts for administration and report writing, and ‘late night’ shifts (usually 9.00pm-3.00am) in a nighttime environment, for an average of 15-25 hours per week for up to an 8-week period late August to early October 2024.
Hours per week: 15-40 hours per week, across day time, evenings, late nights, and weekends
Start Date: 22nd August 2024
Rate of Pay: £12.60 per hour
*hourly rate of pay will be topped up to include holiday pay
Application Information
To apply for the Late Night Do It Right position, you must be available from the 22nd August 2024- early October 2024 and must be available to work flexibly up to 40 hours per week including evening, weekend and late night working in a nighttime environment.
*Please check any visa requirements ahead of applying, as we do need someone who can work more than 20 hours per week during term time.
