Late Night Do It Right was created in 2014 by Scarlett Oliver, the VP Community and Welfare at the time and has continued to grow over the last ten years.
Here at The Students’ Union, we want our students to have unforgettable (and safe) nights in and out, so we do the things that ensure you remember them for all the right reasons.
You can get free water from all bars and we have zero tolerance of sexual harassment. Follow the links below for more information about the campaign!
We are here to help encourage a healthier and more responsible relationship with alcohol and to tackle problem drinking among UWE students. It also helps with our Alcohol Impact Accreditation – something that The Students’ Union partners with the University to achieve.
Late Night Do It Right was created in 2014 by Scarlett Oliver, the VP Community and Welfare at the time. The campaign looked similar to how it looks today – e.g. the yellow t-shirts, the club nights and the premise remains unchanged. However, the campaign has grown over the last five years!
You may see our yellow-clad ‘angels’ at selected UWE accomdations- we've teamed up with Dominos again this year to prorvide students with free pizza! We're providing more than free food though, we were also giving out condoms, alcohol unit measuring cups, stickers, and having conversations with students on how to stay in the know and drink responsibly.
We aren’t just here to support you on a night out, we have also come up with some hacks on travel tips for your night out, 'How to save money on a night out’, ‘How to combat THAT hangover’ and ‘your pre-drink guide’. All are vital tips whether you are in your first year experiencing Fresher’s for the first time, to being an experienced third year or Masters student!
If it’s a yes, RNID wants to hear from you.
RNID is the charity that supports people who are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus. Right now, we’re looking for young people who routinely wear earplugs at music events to help us with a project we’re working on.
RNID wants to know why you use hearing protection…
Whatever your reasons for wearing ear plugs, we’d love to hear from you. Please drop the RNID Stories Team a line at shareyourstory@rnid.org.uk
