Salary: £7.82 and for over 25s - £8.32. 5 hours a week in term time for 30 weeks.
Start date: 12th September 2017

Purpose of the post:
To provide effective administrative support to the Glenside Campus Community Co-ordinator by creating and delivering innovative and exciting social media content, marketing events, working on research projects and undertaking general office-based tasks.
To assist in the effective delivery of campus activity, such as:
Post holder will need to be available to provide support at key times such as: Sept Freshers 2017, Feb Welcome Week 2018, Elections March 2018, Binding in April/May 2018 , July GlenFest 2018.
The position shares with all other staff positions a general purpose which is:
To work collectively for the attainment of the goals of The Students’ Union at UWE as expressed in the Constitution, Policy Book, and Strategic Plan & through the decisions of its committees.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
To provide administrative support to the Glenside Campus Community Co-ordinator. This will include managing mailing lists, researching activities, responding to emails, delivering telephone support and dealing with front desk enquiries in person.
To ensure that students have access to The Students’ Union at UWE’s services when the Glenside Campus Community Co-ordinator is not on site.
To promote opportunities, activities, events and campaigns to Glenside students by delivering innovative and exciting social media content (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) as well as ensuring that these channels remain current.
To support the co-ordination, promotion, marketing and delivery of Glenside-based events and activities. This will include booking events and transport, helping to set up and pack away materials, speaking to students at events and ensuring that all promotional material around the campus is kept up to date.
To assist the Community Team in the recording and monitoring student engagement in activities.
To research the student demographic on campus in order to expand The Students’ Union’s offer by creating events that are interesting and relevant to those that live, work and study on Glenside.
To provide support to the elected Glenside Campus Officer and assist in the delivery of their ideas, projects and campaigns.
Work in a manner, which reflects the values of the organisation as shown in the Union’s Constitution and Strategic Plan.
Act in accordance with the personnel policies and procedures as approved by the Staff Committee of the Union including Health and Safety Procedures and Staff Protocol Agreement.
Act always in accordance with the financial regulations of the Union as outlined in the Constitution and detailed in the Financial Regulations and Procedures.
Carry out duties with due regard to The Students’ Union at UWE’s Equal Opportunities Policy at all times.
Undertake such other duties as may reasonably be expected given the incumbent’s qualifications and experience.
Supervision and work planning:
The postholder will receive supervision from the Community Manager and the Glenside Campus Community Co-ordinator (or allocated staff member on particular tasks), but will be expected to work on their own initiative for routine tasks.
