ASSISTANT MARKETING MANAGER
The Students’ Union at UWE is looking for an Assistant Marketing Manager to join its dynamic Marketing Team.
This role offers a blend of creativity and project management and is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to take the next step in their marketing career and contribute to a variety of exciting projects.
The Assistant Marketing Manager will work closely with the Marketing Manager and wider organisation to drive the marketing activity of the Union.
Key responsibilities include campaign and event planning, project management, implementing campaigns, managing marketing production, and ensuring brand consistency. Additionally, the role involves line management responsibilities and supporting the Marketing Manager in handling the Union’s media partnerships and sales.
The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of digital marketing, including web, email marketing and social media, with impeccable writing skills and meticulous attention to detail. They will be adept at multi-tasking and will need to turn their hand to a variety of engagement and commercial campaigns, from Welcome to the Student Elections.
The Assistant Marketing Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day people management of the Marketing Team, whilst the Marketing Manager will provide the overall departmental vision for the team.
We’re looking for someone educated to degree level (or equivalent), who has previous experience of working within a communications or marketing role.

Rate of Pay: £30,380
Grade: 5.1
Hours per Week: 37 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days
Holiday Benefits: 27 days annual leave + Bank Holidays + Closure Days
Duration: Permanent
Location: Based at Frenchay Campus. The post holder may be required to work at, or from any of the Students’ Union’s establishments.
