'My daily responsibilities are fully supported by company training, therefore I feel supported in my role.
The role is flexible and suits my work life balance. Every day is different and I enjoy working at different campuses. Students and staff are friendly and we work well as a team, creating a relaxed and happy environment.
I wish I had found this job a lot sooner.'- Diane, Commercial Services Assistant (Retail)
' I have worked here for 5 years and over this period I have worked in several different areas in various positions.
Starting off as student staff, this position gave me the flexibility to work around my lectures.
Through hard work I was able to become a student supervisor in 4 areas of the student’s union which gave me a chance to explore which area best suited me and gave me the opportunity to learn within all these areas.
After 4 years I finished my degree and decided to stay on as a permanent member of the SU.
This gave me more opportunity to grow and development as I worked my way from an assistant role to a supervisor role thanks to the support and guidance of my fellow colleagues.' - Meg, Commercial Services Supervisor (Bar)
