We are looking for two Commercial Services Assistants to assist in the day-to-day operation of The Students’ Union’s Commercial Services outlets on a full time, 37 hours per week, basis working either Term Time only, or on a Fixed Term basis.
On this occasion we are particularly interested in candidates with a catering background or interest.
Commercial Services is made up of shops, bars, kitchens and a bakery. We operate with a permanent staff team and have a large base of casual student staff across the three UWE Bristol campus sites.
Commercial services Assistants work across all commercial outlets across all campus sites in line with organisational requirement.
Our customers include the UWE Bristol student population, teachers/ professors, university support staff, SU staff, and a range of external contractors such as builders and maintenance teams.

Additional Information:
Rate of Pay: £24,243
*Please note that this salary will be pro rata for the hours worked (either Term Time, or Fixed Term depending on the contract desired from the successful candidate)
*Pro rata salary can be provided on request or during the interviews
Grade: 2.1
Hours per Week: 37 hours per week
The position requires that the incumbent will work irregular hours involving late night and weekend working (includes early and late shifts)
Holiday Benefits: 27 days annual leave + Bank Holidays + Closure Days (pro rata, will be included within non-term time if the term-time contract is selected)
Duration: Either Term-Time permanent position contract available working 34 weeks per year, 37 hours per week or Fixed-Term position available, working 37 hours per week for a 9 month fixed term period
Desired contract type can be selected by the successful candidates
Salary will be pro rata depending on the contract type selected as outlined above
Location: The post holder will be required to work at, or from, any of the Union’s establishments (Frenchay, Bower Ashton, Glenside)
