Can you lead the union’s marketing department, enhance both internal and external communication channels and develop the exciting new brand of UWE SU, all to enhance the experience for UWE Students?

As the representative body of one of the largest student populations in the South West, UWE Students’ Union are proud of our achievements to date and of the services we offer; we are now seeking exceptional individuals to join the team to drive us on to even greater things. There are exciting times at the Union with a new £10m building to move into in July coinciding with the launch of a new dynamic brand. Equally, there are many challenges ahead as our relationship with UWE evolves and we seek to further develop our services for students. All the roles look to ensure we continue providing the very best services we can to enhance the experience of each and every student. You will need to be unafraid of new ideas and new ways of doing things and be confident in embracing change.

Our vision is to be recognised as a leading students’ union and one that all our students are proud of. We also believe in supporting people but helping them build their self reliance. It can be a bit full on - the right sort of people love working here, but it’s not for everyone.

This job will aim to:-

• Lead the marketing department to build the Union’s understanding of members, profile and brand through a strong coherent research, PR, marketing and communications strategy.
• Be responsible for the Student Media Centre.
• Manage the Union’s IT requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and experienced marketing professional with a wide range of skills and experience, technical and strategic aptitude and an appetite to further develop in an ever expanding field.
