We are looking for a Marketing Manager to enhance the brand and identity of The Students' Union at UWE and build the Union’s understanding of members, profile and brand through a strong coherent research, PR, marketing and communications strategy.

Purpose of the post:

• To lead the marketing department to build the Union’s understanding of members, profile and brand through a strong coherent research, PR, marketing and communications strategy.
• To be responsible for the Student Media Centre.
• To manage the Union’s IT requirements.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the Union’s brand identity and facilitate ongoing implementation of the following: Visual Identity, Brand Voice, Brand Values
• Attendance at meetings with senior University staff and external bodies, in particular the Marketing and Communications team to enhance student recruitment
• Lead staff on marketing support for shops, venue and the loyalty scheme
• Lead staff on marketing campaigns and projects to meet the unions aims
• Strategic direction and management of web, email, social media, traditional media and the Union’s digital display system
• Produce in depth and complex analysis of research data on a regular basis and provide reports to the CEO, Executive and university senior management
• Statistical analysis: Web site, Web based relationship management systems for clubs etc, Assist with door entry system, elections support
• Development projects: Develop cost and present projects that enhance the Unions status as being the organisation that knows the most about UWE students
• Manage sales process through BAM.
• Oversee the e-commerce element of the student website
• Manage non-venue elements of the Annual fresher’s programme including the Bazaar
• Manage the Student Media Centre- Westerneye Newspaper and Union Radio Station
