Purpose of the post:
The position shares with all other staff positions a general purpose to work collectively for the attainment of the goals of the Students’ Union at UWE as expressed in the Constitution, Policy Book, and Strategic Plan and through the decisions of its committees.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
To manage and lead the Opportunities Team to develop, facilitate and support the effective management of the services delivered across sports, societies, academic societies and an element of volunteering.
To develop sport with the SU in conjunction with the relevant officer and to oversee BUCS coordination.
To plan, promote and deliver a comprehensive programme of training and a range of coaching opportunities for group members in partnership with the university and outside bodies.
To establish, develop, monitor and review all safety procedures and training for SU Sports and Societies, Academic Societies to ensure safe delivery and enjoyable activities for the membership.
Salary: £29,649 per annum
