Receptionist
The Students' Union are looking for a full time Receptionist to work on the Welcome Desk within The Students' Union Building on the largest UWE Bristol campus- Frenchay!
This is a fantastic receptionist opportunity with a very generous holiday entitlement and a working pattern that is unusual for a reception position, mostly working Monday-Friday with only very occasional weekend working required!
We're looking for someone with experience of working within a reception or customer focused role with strong communication and IT skills.
We're also looking to find an individual who embodies the values and behaviours of our organisation to positively support all visitors of The Students' Union at UWE!
The receptionist will be a key point of contact for staff, students and any visitors into the Students Union to provide a positive experience/service.
On a day-to-day basis you will be opening and closing the premises as well as key duties including operational and administrative tasks to support the organisation.
During quieter months when visitor footfall is reduced this role will proactively seek tasks and duties to complete within the scope of the role.
You will also complete sales and cashing up procedures keeping reception financial reporting up to date.
A key part of the role will be ensuring the premises is kept to a high standard, including daily checks of spaces, reporting of maintenance issues, cleaning and re-setting spaces within The Students' Union building.
We are ideally looking to hire an individual who would be committed to supporting our reception function on a permanent, long-term basis.

Additional Information
Rate of Pay: £24,730
*Salary as of 1st August 2025
Grade: 3.1
Hours per Week: 37 hours per week, working Monday-Friday.
* Given the nature of the post, very occasional weekend working may be required to achieve the desired outcomes at key times of the year, this would be with notice and only at key times of the year.
Holiday: 27 days annual leave + Bank Holidays + Closure Days based on working full time 37 hours per week, pro rata.
Duration: Permanent
Location: Frenchay Campus
