Student Sustainability Engagement Coordinator - Fixed Term 22 Months
The Students’ Union at UWE is looking for an enthusiastic Student Sustainability Engagement Coordinator to join our Community Team on a full-time, fixed term basis.
If you are passionate about the sustainability agenda and are looking for a transitional role enabling you to support our students to achieve sustainable change at UWE, this could be the position for you.
The successful candidate will co-ordinate the engagement of UWE students in sustainability campaigns and projects through our Green Team and Sustainability Committee. They will empower UWE students to challenge and contribute to the sustainability agenda at UWE Bristol and The Students’ Union.
Sustainability is a key strategic aim for The Students’ Union at UWE, we have been awarded ‘Excellent’ in our annual Green Impact submission for the last 10 years and also received The Highest Scoring Students’ Union Award for this time period. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our future submissions, contributing to the evaluation and reporting of our student sustainability engagement events.

Additional Information:
Location: Based at Frenchay Campus. The postholder will be required to work at, or from any of the Union’s establishments (Bower Ashton Campus, Glenside Campus etc) and be willing to travel within Bristol and the surrounding area.
Duration: Fixed Term, 22 Month Fixed Term Contract
Hours per Week: 37 hours per week
Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate must be able and willing to work outside standard office hours as and when required, including semi-frequent evening work and occasional weekend work for events/ activity
Salary: £24,730 (Salary as of the 1st August 2025)
Grade: 3.1
Holiday Entitlement: 27 days annual leave + Bank Holidays + Closure Days
