We are looking for an enthusiastic Student Sustainability Engagement Coordinator to join our Community Team on a full-time basis!
The successful candidate will co-ordinate the engagement of UWE students in the sustainability agenda, through our Green Team and Sustainability Committee and empower UWE students to challenge and contribute to the sustainability agenda at UWE and The Students’ Union.
Sustainability is a key strategic aim for The Students’ Union at UWE, we have been awarded ‘Excellent’ in our Green Impact submission for the 2019/20 academic year. This is the highest rating that can be achieved. This role will play a crucial role in supporting students to develop their own exciting sustainability-related projects and community activities! Green Impact is a sustainability and social responsibility programme run by Students Organising for Sustainability (SOS-UK).

Student Sustainability Engagement Coordinator
Purpose of the Post
To operationally co-ordinate the engagement of UWE students in the sustainability agenda, through:
The position shares with all other staff positions a general purpose to work collectively for the attainment of the goals of the Students’ Union at UWE as expressed in the Constitution, Policy Book, and Strategic Plan and through the decisions of its committees.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
The Green Team and Sustainability Committee
Working with the elected part-time sustainability officer, Sustainability Committee and Presidents:
Student-Led Sustainability Projects
Sustainability-related Volunteering Programme
NUS Green Impact
Reporting, Finance and Health & Safety:
Undertake any duties as may reasonably be expected by the Community Manager or such other tasks as may be necessary in order to achieve the objectives of the Community team and the Students’ Union.

Additional Information
Grade: 3
Rate of Pay: £ 20,634 per annum
Holiday Entitlement: 27 days annual leave + Bank Holidays + Closure Days
Hours per Week: 37 hours per week
Duration: Fixed term for 2 years
Location: Based at Frenchay Campus. The post holder may be required to work at, or from any of the Students’ Union’s establishments.
