    A win for each University in Varsity Rugby and Boat Race

    UWE and Bristol University Boat Clubs locked horns on the harbourside at the weekend in the Varsity flagship event, the Boat Race. UWE came out triumphant by winning 3 out of 5 Varsity ‘Blade’ races and overall 5 out of 9 races.

    Novice Men’s 1st 8 - Blade Race 1: UWE Win
    Novice Women’s 1st 8 - Blade Race 2: Bristol Win
    Novice Men’s 2nd 8 - Blade Race 3: UWE Win
    Senior Women’s 8 - Blade Race 8: Bristol Win
    Senior Men’s 1st 8 - Blade Race 9: UWE Win

    In Rugby Varsity, Bristol University won the Mens event by 28 - 12 whilst the UWE Women's Rugby Team beat Bristol University 12 - 5.
