Overall score now UWE 2 - Bristol 1
Saturday 28th February saw both UWE & Bristol Pole Fitness Societies hold and run, their very own South West University Pole Competition (SWUPC). Both societies had worked incredibly hard for this event, and so regardless of the result, it was going to be a great day.
The competition saw Exeter University, Plymouth University, Portsmouth University, Cardiff University, Swansea University, Bath Spa University, and Bath University travelling to compete, with guest performances from Amy Williams, recently crowned 3rd in Miss Pole Dance UK; Leach Rose, UKPPC professional champion 2013; Robyn Rooke, ex Pole Fitness Bristol Champion; and Charlotte Robertson, the current winner of the UKPPC professional 2014, soon to be competing in the World Pole Championships in Bejing.
UWE and Bristol were judged and scored based on their group performance. The overall result was exceptionally close with Bristol scoring 628 out of a possible 800 points, whilst UWE, coming out just slightly on top, scored 642 out of a possible 800 points taking the point for this event.
This brings the UWE just slightly ahead of Bristol with 3 weeks of the series left to go!
