1. Some IPG (Delta Force Paintball) have been advertising and selling products on University property.
2. These products and services have a conflict of interest with the Paintball Society and/or their sponsors.
3. The Centre for Sport already has a transparency policy with the Students Union which stops conflicting companies using their facilities.
1. Outside of freshers fair events companies that pose a conflict of interest with the Students’ Union, Sports & Societies should not be allowed to promote or advertise on campus.
2. The students body should have a say in which companies are allowed onto campus.
3. This should not affect any company wishing to attend freshers fair events.
4. The current system in place between the Centre for Sport and the Students Union works.
5. The University should support the Student activities using the same transparency policy held with the Centre for Sport throughout University property.
1. Any organization that wants to advertise or sell anything on University property is to be vetted by the Students’ Union, Sports, Societies & Networks which may be affected.
2. Any organization that has a direct conflict with the Union or it’s Sports, Societies & Networks should be denied entry onto campus to sell/advertise by the University.
3. That any conflict with sponsors will be handled on a case by case basis and to the discretion of the Students’ Union and specific Sports, Societies & Networks affected.
4. That a decision making panel will consist of at least a Vice President, Officer & a committee member from all affected Sports, Societies & Networks. This panel will review the application to trade on University property and support or oppose the application based on its potential negative impact on Sports, Societies & Networks.
5. To lobby the University to disclose requests to trade on University property to the Sports, Societies & Networks.
6. To lobby the University to support the Sports, Societies & Networks on this issue.
