UWE Women’s Cricket train twice a week throughout the year and have an indoor side which play during the winter. Emma Hunter who is another UWE Alumni and also represented the women’s team in her time at UWE helps coach the sessions. This year’s Women’s Captain Charlotte Beaumont said:
“The women's side is doing really well this year. We have managed to nearly double in size, with plenty of returners and some really talented fresher’s joining the team. Training is always something to look forward to, with everyone improving their skills in a fun environment. We managed to win two of our four first BUCS games on Saturday, with these being a few girls of the girls first ever indoor cricket games, we are very happy with our result. I am very much looking forward to continuing the year with these girls, developing our skills and hopefully continuing to grow in the future.”
The girls train on Wednesdays 8pm-10pm at the Country Ground, Gloucester Road.
