The guys of UWE Men's 1st Lacrosse team have seen a huge turn around this season.

Their first year in the Western 2 division of BUCS (British Universites College Sport) last year saw only defeat after defeat, not winning a single game all season but still managing to love every minute of it.  this year however, with the expert coaching of Guy Oldring and the Bristol Bombers Lacrosse Club the lads managed to finish the season 3rd in the league and won the final game of the knock-out Western 2 Conference Cup.

This massive underdog story is the reason why the UWESU awarded the team with 'Most Improved Team' at the Sports Awards ball on the 28th of May this year.
