Elections for the 16/17 snowsports commitee are taking place this February.

The committee are responsible for every part of the running of the club from making the budget to designing the merchandise and running the regular trips. Without a committee it would be impossible to run the club and operate the winter trip.

Being a part of the committee is a really rewarding experience which gives you unique opportunities an experiences while providing opportunities for UWE students to take part in skiing or snowboarding at various levels.

Are you up to the challenge?

• Snowsports is the largest club at UWE with approx 400 paid members
• UWE snowsports has income of more than £100,000 (including the winter trip)
• The club does not make any profit, all income is reinvested into the club
• This year the club fundraised over £5,000 from sponsors and events
• The club runs the biggest and best socials at UWE
• The winter trip is the biggest trip at UWE with 300 students going to the alps for a week

Election Process

All those who have been nominated will be invited to a compulsory Q&A session in the next two weeks. They will then submit a manifesto which will be uploaded for an online vote. Voting will be launched at the AGM social and will run for 4 days. Any 15/16 club member can vote.
