UWE Bristol and The Students' Union are nationally recognised for the third time achieving 93% in Drug and Alcohol Impact
This report shows dedication and startegic committment to a harm reduction approach; here at UWE Bristol we believe that a harm reduction is in the best interests of our student community and we embed this into policy and practice across the university.
At the heart of our fantastic partnership is our wonderful student steering group who have ensured that student sign off is achieved at an agile and strategic level. We put students at the heart of our approach and dedicate time and effort to listen and build our communications and interventions together.
As part of our commitment to a proactive, harm-reduction approach, SOS-UK train our own students as auditors. They dive deep into our evidence, evaluate our impact, and provide invaluable peer-led insights. We are delighted to share the below feedback from this year’s student auditors:
“A great partnership that has evidently been beneficial for students surrounding the impacts of drugs and alcohol. It’s amazing to see the amount of work put in in order to protect students.”
“I am very impressed with the dedication to their goals and the consistent, through effort and careful thought shown in all their work they complete.”
As a partnership, we are excited to go on the journey to the next two-year cycle of accrditation, building our new action plan with our student auditors recommendations and insights!
